So I'm leaving for Seattle this week... I wanted to take a trip by myself to a place I never been and as far away from home... so Seattle I decided!

Now, I have no f'ing clue what to do, or see? Anyone who lives in Seattle have any good tips?

Been there for "temporary residency" before, nice city. If you are into architecture, you will love it.

I loved my visit to Seattle. a few years ago my mother and I visited Kent, Washington so she could get her license (I got a permit for the hell of it). The whole process took just one day, but we decided to stay an extra three days to see the sites (kent is prob 30 min from Seattle).

I'll tell ya,when you live in a town with a population of 6000 going somewhere other than Raleigh was refreshing.

Seattle...the most beautiful city I've been to. What to do? Get yourself a bike and just ride on the hills and shorelines. The weather is going to be nice and cool so you can ride all day and still not be drenched in sweat like you would after 10 minutes of riding in Texas. Take a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island ($15) and then ride some more. That's how you'd know the city. For the touristy stuff, there is always the space needle and the Seattle Center. Ironically enough, there is an immigration lawyer's office very close to the Space Needle!

Go visit the original Starbucks on Pike Place Market in downtown. Go to the Ballard Locks and look at the salmon ladders and the locks that separate saltwater and fresh water. Go to Gas Works Park and look at plush green grass and Canadian Geese who graze and poop like horses.

Dallas...I was just there. It's flat. I guess their downtown is nice (museum district area)...That's about it.

I've heard that too but I've never been. Texas in general is very flat unless you go to the Hill Country/Austin area. Austin is a little too in love with itself but it's a great liberal city with lots of things to do. Houston is huge so it takes a while, but it has something for everybody too but it's hot and humid. Never hurts to at least visit every city you have a chance to visit though! As far as shear beauty of landscape goes however, Washington State and Utah are hard to beat.

HI just wondering if my boyfriend can still get a license from there. I heard that a few years back it wasn’t complicated as now a day.

Thanks

There are plenty of old threads on the topic and the less we mention that, the better given that all these discussions are google searchable. If he lives there, he can get it.
