I was wondering about that. Maybe it's a "don't get your panties in a twist because it might not pass the Senate anyway" act in order to lull the racist members of their base into complacency...but I'm more inclined to go with the he's trying to screw us over again explanation.

I'm going to need McCain or Graham to either tell him to shut up or just revoke his GO8 pass. This is seriously starting to look like they don't have their stuff together considering 7 members are saying passage looks more than promising and good ol' Marco is saying that it won't pass at all.

He does have a pretty bad track record when it comes to Immigration. He blasted Obama for signing DACA and claims to be gunning for CIR?!?! Sooner or later the fakers will show their true colors. I'm worried the rest of the Gang of 8 members are too old and naïve to understand the cunning nature of this Rubio guy. Apart from Schumer, it seems like the rest can be swayed and manipulated easily. I just hope Leahy is observing everything like an eagle and decides when its time to intervene. CIR MUST pass the Senate!

I trust that the people on our side will at least see what he's about. And I think McCain and Graham pretty much have him pegged and only allowed him in on negotiations because of the pull he has with the Tea Party tin foil hat crowd. If he's trying to sink legislation, I believe John McCain would call him on it. So, we have to see if he says anything about Rubio's asinine comments on the next few days.

I'm just going to hope that if CIR fails, Obama has some sort of Plan B in place for us.

Senate isn't the problem, the house is. As far as Rubio, all I gotta say is that he's a pussy

Only thing Obama has said if CIR fails is that he would introduce his own bill in Congress. If that also fails, I imagine, he could do some kind of general deferred action.

Well,I'd be careful of Leahy as well.Leahy is awesome, but his strong sense of inclusion might do some harm with the promised UAFA vote.If it is included within the legislation at the committee level[which seems very likely] it will be very difficult to remove as the process moves forward.Leahy is also very likely to be the Senior guy trying to get a path to citizenship while in conference IF it gets that far and has varied role to play....more than even the Gang of 8 I think.
