My name is Maira but my parents never bothered correcting paper work in school under Mayra as well as my ITIN number, so i work with Maira but file taxes with Mayra.

Everyone around my reciept number have been approved or RFE except me.. am just wondering if anyone is in the same situation.??

I have used both of my last names for anything official such as my passport and itin but used one last name for school and banking so most of my evidence has documents with one last name while my b.c. Passport, and itin have 2 I wonder if that's slowing them down? I get bummed out because cases xxxxxxx488-4 got approved and cases xxxxxxx500-520 have all been approved yet mine remains as the sole case that hasn't.

I applied with my brand new married last name and all the evidence sent was with my maiden name, I think that's what slowed my process, at the end I got approved. You should be fine as long as you out down both names under the section "other names used" on the application.

The difference between Maira and Mayra(I'm guessing this is your first name) is very small, and could be just a clerical error, especially if done in high school paperwork. This is the reason why your first and last name is only one of the methods used to identify you, and why social security numbers and birthdays hold a lot more weight.
