Made my 1st post about a week ago stating that I hadn't been approved yet. Well, my attorney got a letter today and told us to give them a call. Since I had been under deportation proceedings, ICE had to look over my case before I could get approved. So USCIS didn't send me an approval letter but ICE sent me the approval letter instead, weird. But I got approved April 17,2013!! And just today got the letter! Can't believe it! USCIS website hasn't been up dated either, still at initial review. But that letter clearly says I have been approved and have deferred action until April 15,2015! Crazy situation but ill take it!

@TodoBien I hadn't heard of anything like this either, especially the part where ICE pretty much had to approve before I got anything. I was in deportation proceedings once when I was less than 10 years old, never got my letter to leave so I stayed. In 2010 ICE came to my house for my mom and I(mom never left either) and had us under their control pretty much, they allowed us to stay in the country as long as we answered their monthly calls to make sure we hadn't left(voice recognition also) so no one else could answer. Crazy. But luckily we didn't have to leave and now I finally got deferred action! Dream come true! And I meant April 17,2013 on that earlier post.

thats a little scary u could say , i thought uscis had the right to grant u deferred action , but if ice starts getting involved it might be a little intimidating , ice hardly lets anybody stay whos already placed in removal of proceedings , im in removal so its why ive asked , been waiting for 7 months 10 days now

I have never posted here but thought I should spread the good news! God is good! At 1:45 pm today I finally received an email from USCIS saying my EAD had been approved! I was so happy! I had been worried sick because I had applied total internships for which I have interviews tomorrow! I can finally work in my professional field! Thank God for His great timing of things!
Keep the faith alive, guys! Thing really are meant to be and you will get it!

I have no run-ins with the LAW, no court hearings, no deportations proceedings, nothing at all. Been speaking with some fellow friends who had these issues and they got approved just like that, and already working. After surfing the web and reading peoples stories and seeing that they had multiple problems with the LAW and getting approved without any problems. Its very frustrating. I didn't want to write anything but after seeing all the contributions to the site, I had to post my information. To all the people who got Approved, hope its being used for right, and good luck to the people who are still waiting like myself.

Recieved letter on 04-24-2013 saying my app is beyond the expected six month processing period, and that I would just have to wait for future updates regarding my case when they get to my case. So I guess its just a matter of waiting.
DAVIHHOPE hopefully you get approve soon... My application took a long time to be approved in Vermont, they received my application on 8/20/2012 and I got approved on 5/10/2013... It's frustrating waiting this long but you will see they will approve your application ...
