I got denied by The Ohio State University once again! The first time I was trying to apply for finsher college in Ohio state which is impossible for me to get into because of the 60 credit hours limit that they have. However one of the admission consoler told me just go ahead and apply if I get denied she help me to reapply for different major with in The Ohio State University. So I took the offer and applied for fisher. after like a month I received an e-mail from the head of admission saying that I was not competitive enough to be admitted despite the 3.7 gpa and 4 recommendation letters that I had. I immediately contacted the consoler at OSU but she refused to keep her promise. I called the head of admissions he said that there's no new information his decision stands and he will not appeal the decision. After weeks of contacting students advocacy group(osu),community college and many consolers, we decided the best way is trying to work out a solution with the admission staff. Since I was miss informed, I was expecting for an easy fix. However, all the negotiations failed. Later on student advocacy group ask Office of International Affair to help. OIA people agree to help on behalf of all dreamers because one of the main reason that I was denied is because they are considering me(daca students) as an international student(application wise). OIA want to use my case to push for DACA student to be consider domestic student but they also failed to convince them. The madness those not end here. I received a phone call from the same guy who denied me admission two weeks ago. He told me that he heard my concern and they are reconsidering my case(reapply to different major). I was like sweet I can finally get in. A week later the same person denied my admission again!! and the most ridiculous part is the reasons that I was denied for.
1. No New Information

This the same person that refused to appeal my case due to lack of new information. He knowingly reprocess my application without it and he is using that against me %$%@

2. He doesn't want to encourage people to break the rule(by breaking the rule he meant apply for one major after being denied and reapply to a different major)

This is ultra ridiculous because the idea of apply for one major and if it failed reapply for another one is not even mine. It's what his staff offered. And don't think he can enforce the second part because he just broke his own rule by processing my application without new information.

No matter how I approach my case with him he always returns with a big fat no. This is getting really personal. I made my decision base on what admission consoler told me and this guy is just keep on denying me with ridiculous reasons. unforunatelt he is the head of international admission there's no high authority that I can contact besides school president. I am planning to contact the OSU president. Any ideas? HELP!!!

Sorry to hear that. You obviously have good grades and have many options. Might be time to look at them. If it makes you feel better, major state colleges are often very hard to get into for anybody given all the legacy admissions they have and how many people apply to them. Sometimes dreams take us to better places than we originally were expecting.

If it's my fault accept the result but clearly they made a mistake and never accept that they are responsible. I don't understand why he think it's okay to me false hope and crush my dream every time. like I said this is getting really personal. I don know why that he is so bias towards me but he can try whatever he wants to keep out. I will do whatever it takes to get me in.

yes. I even talked to my community college consoler she told me that with in-state tuition that OSU will be the cheapest one around in Ohio with high reputation. Tuition is reasonable and they have really good school. However, their admission provides second class service.

yes. I want to send a message to them that they can't just denied people with whatever ridiculous reason they like. And they have to take responsibilities for their actions .

That's how universities roll...I have a relative that I lived with in the Midwest not too far from Ohio. When it came to his field, he was absolutely brilliant (he was kind of an asshole in the other aspects of his life however) and never got his PhD because a professor had a personal vendetta against him and told him point blank that as long as he was there, he would never get his PhD. So the poor guy had the shame of only having a Master's Degree for the rest of his life despite putting in many years towards his PhD.

I wouldn't even consider attending the school after all that trouble (but I understand why you would go there).
