The NY times seem to have some details on the deal reached.The House legalization plan seems to be a whole lot tougher.Of course there is no detail on the Dream act pathway yet,which I expect to be completely separate.The details so far seem to be;

-15 year path to citizenship

-All undocumented are included

-Must plead guilty in Federal court to breaking US immigration law for probationary status

-House trigger would defunct Legalization if E-verify is not implemented in 5 years.Returning individuals to being undocumented most likely

-Democrats and Republicans will introduce their own piecemeal versions of a guest-worker program separately from any Bi-partisan compromise.

I really hope pleading guilty in a federal court does not stay in the bill. Almost as if they want to further humilate us before allowing us to assimilate into society. Which still does not happen until 15 years later! But, you can't expect anything else from the House these days.

That provision will certainly die out in the reconciliation process. It is not feasible for 12-13 million people to go to court and plead guilty. That process would cost a fortune not to mention how unrealistic it is.

Pleading guilty is ridiculous, especially for us Dreamers, and how are they going to manage millions going into court to stand before a judge and do this?

The House trigger is also ridiculous, why should we pay if they are unable to finally implement E-verify the right way? How would that be our fault? Shouldn't the people in charge of making this happen be the ones to suffer the consequences directly?! I'm sure if it fails they'll get plenty of heat for it but in the end it's our lives at stake here not theirs!

If immigrants were the ones put in charge of making E-verify work I'm sure we would get it going right away with that kind of pressure and dire consequences! Why not put that kind of pressure on them!?

For the first time I am nervous. I want to know what is in the bill. Hopefully, we like what we read.

Lol@ the .gif,but no to it taking 15 years which pertains to the general legalization pathway.It is unknown how long it would take BUT a prior article mentioned that even Dreamers would have to admit guilt in Federal court under the House plan.

Thanks, Ianus. Yeah this is ridiculous, and it better be fixed in committee. I doubt the Dems have the votes to change this provision, if it is there, on the House floor.
