Hey everyone, it's been a while and well, it's been tough. Um how do I start this, well, basically. I'm gonna start off by saying that I committed a dumb mistake and I know I was stupid for doing it. Now, What happened was that I stole a bike at Starbucks. I walked in there, walked out, spotted an unchained bike near the rail line by the entrance of the door, grabbed the bike and rolled out.

5 seconds later, an older man jumps at me from behind at grapples me down from the bike to the lawn. It was the most humiliating experience ever. I didn't resist, however, I grit my teeth as my arms was twisted by the older man and realized, shit I'm in for it.

Next thing you know the cops arrived. I was in jail they ran my fingerprints asked me what happened. Told them everything, and cooperated the best I could at this point. Anyway, I was in there for less than an hour. I have an appointment with the city court in the next month or so.

The charge so far: Petty Theft.

Now how is this going to affect me? Have I ruined any chance of applying for EAD next round --2 years expiration date from the one I have now?

I have no pity for you whatsoever. Contact an attorney, this could get your deported and you could lose your DACA because of it if USCIS finds out.

Dude. Probably, but I am guessing it depends on how you get charged. Second we don't know what the rules are going to be like round 2 or for CIR.

That was not a dumb mistake by the way. That means you have sticky fingers. The only way to change behavior is to own up to it.

What if it was your bike or car?

do you have a history of stealing other people things by accident or do they just happen?

Well, petty theft is usually considered a misdemeanor meaning it's not seen as serious so it likely won't affect you much.

I just don't get how people who get opportunities do this shit. Instead of thinking: hey, you know what, I now have a SSN and ID in this country and soon can qualify for residency so I'll be on my best behavior your logic is let me go steal bikes and see if I get caught so I can develop a criminal record. I think for you to put it as stupid is an understatement.

Wow! I cringed when reading this story. Please people stay out of trouble! Do the right thing. Remember, you represent a small group of people and each and every single one of us has to be on his/her best behavior and be model members of society.

You sir are a degenerate delinquent.. And I don't mean it in an offensive way but there is no other way to describe you. You are in a god damn first world country where you could literally work for a day and get a bike why in the world would you ever steal a bike??? You obviously have a problem with stealing because when I see an unchained bike I don't even think about touching it let alone jumping on it and riding off with it. I don't think you'll be deported or anything because I believe that's a misderminor but man, you are a straight idiot. Stop stealing people's shit, get a god damn job if you want a bike. Leave the 3rd world country mentality back where it belongs, you're in the United States now, behave like a civilized human being and do things the right way ESPECIALLY when you've been given this opportunity.

You make us look bad and you're embarrassing your family.. If you were my kid I'd whop your fucking ass up and down the street.

Best of luck to you my friend.

Imagine if he wasn't caught and got away with it, thats something to think about

then it wouldn't have been a dumb mistake , then you would have been stupid to NOT take the bike, right?

That type of mentality is sick man.
