Yup I got 2500 each semester from grants. As far as scholarships go, I applied to 4 waiting on a response. I'm probably gonna have to pay 3000-3500 out of my pocket for tuition and books.

UC San Diego charges around 14k per year or roughly 4700 per quarter plus assorted fees.... we get health insurance though so I guess that's a plus. Still really expensive tho especially if you include room and board

The University of Texas Pan-American tuition for undergraduate is about $2,600 per semester or around $5,200 per year (Fall &Spring) full time 12 hours without including books and personal expenses. I have to pay around $3,300 for 15/16 hours tuition per semester. Thankfully, my financial aid pays for all my tuition even my summer classes and also pays my books/school supplies.

Does Cal offer a scholarship award to incoming transfers like UCLA?

Yea if you completed your CA DREAM Act + GPA verification.

But the total cost is ~$30,000 (tuition + cost of living). Housing is expensive in the bay area.

So even though Cal Grants + scholarships cover like $14,000, the rest is something we have to come up with (at least for people not from the Bay Area).

I think LA housing is way more expensive than the bay area, especially in Westwood. UCLA offered me a 9k scholarship plus tuition paid pretty good package . I just have to pay the rest for on campus housing which is not that bad
