I had bank statements from 2004-2012 for just about every month in addition to a ton of other documents! I say better safe than sorry but now I feel like that may be what's holding up my application because others have been approved with sending a lot less.

My biggest evidence was 7 years of bank statements. My packet was big but I felt confident when sending it in. Whether that was the cause of it taking so long to get it approved, I don't know. But i was approved and there was no RFE. So I wouldn't change it if I could go back in time.

My lawyer only sent first and last page of every month for the bank statements, don't send all pages.

overwhelm them with evidence, the more you have the better your chances are at not getting an RFE, which means faster approval if you're illegible, good luck.

7 years of evidence??? Why?? They only ask you to prove 5... God, it's people like you that cause delays lol no offense but its true.. My packet had 6ish pieces of solid evidence.. It probably didn't take the agent more than 30min to check and verify everything was legit.. If you're gonna send bank statements only send the first page of the month or every 3 months.. No need to overwhelm the poor guys working there.

I only sent the first page of credit card and bank statements. 6 pages per month seems like too much to send

I was told the less the better, the place I went to had a checklist of every year all you have to do is make sure you dont have a six month gap in your documentation. You have to remember its government workers looking at your stuff if you have a huge packet (that's what she said lol ) then they will put yours aside for and wait until the deadline to go through it!

i heard that USCIS doesnt even care about evidence before 2007 when proving residency.

i sent bank statements (every page, about 3 to 4) for every month from jan 2007 to sept 2012. lease agreements from 2007 to december 2012. rent receipts from 2007 to sept 2012. college registration from 2007 to 2011. cable bills from 2008. medical bills, passport, etc.

think all in all, my package was about close to 200 pages. and i still got an RFE. SMH
