I called about 3 weeks ago and here's the gist of what i got:

Operator: Sir, please follow the processing time on the USCIS website.
Me: It says 6 months. I'm passed that.
Operator: Dont pay attention to the 6 months. They are currently working on Aud 31st.
Me: I see that. But there's people being approved from as recently as March.
Operator: I cant speak to that. You just have to go by the date they're currently on. Which is August 31st. Is there anything else i can help you with?

I wanted to say "no PUTA!" but that would not have helped me at all. I'm done checkin/calling. It'll happen when it happens.
Lol good one. I swear USCIS agents are dummer than bugs. Really stupid.

LOL right? I called USCIS twice already and they give me the same Aug 31st crap. I'm so desperate to get some answers. I wonder if I asked my lawyer to call them, would he get the same answer?!

I don't think it's fair to generalize and form stereotypes with regards to USCIS employees. Quite frankly, I think it's disrespectful and shows a lack of modesty on the forum discussions.

If you rewind to 1 year ago, most DACA applicants probably had no prospects/plans for legal employment, a driver's license, the possibility to enroll in college, etc. Now, we have hope and an opportunity to better our lives in this country. If it weren't for the Obama Administration's bold political move in June 2012, we'd be in the same position as we were for the majority of our young lives. Shall we keep that in mind?

All I'm trying to say is that we shouldn't take the DACA process for granted or have a false sense of entitlement. That will surely piss off a lot of patient DREAMERS and USC's alike. And this post is meant mainly for the members on this forum who are constantly bashing USCIS, complaining about waiting times, etc. Have some respect.

Hopefully, DACA is only the beginning to a major change in the immigration system.

I appreciate and welcome your criticism, mows. However,I must agree to disagree with your comment. I have spoken to many USCIS agents within the last 8 months, and considering their level of incompetence I must say they aren't the brightest bulbs in their bureaucratic system. I have also dealt with a significant amount of language barriers that are completely unnecessary when contacting a government agency.

You are also right, but lets not forget that senator Marco Rubio was working on an alternative to the dream act which was being drafted weeks before DACA was announced. This current program led to criticism from both democratic and republican parties, and as much as you'd would like to credit the Obama administration for their heroism, you are wrong. This was nothing but a political stunt to garner the latino vote in order to secure the election. Yes we have been waiting for quite some time now, but don't tell me uscis is doing everything they can for a speedy process. Don't tell me the millions of dollars in fees collected by the agency is used to hire extra help. I am not hypothesizing my comment, Mows, it most certainly is an inference.
