Received my application: April 10, 2012
Biometrics Done: June 11, 2012

I just want to know if there's any of you on the same boat as me. I know the waiting period is a bit longer because we hit our cap last year.

just wanted to give everyone a heads up, my u Visa was approved yestserday!!

I turned it in July 2012 still waiting

Processing times are 12-15 months....hang in there!!! Thankfully I waited a little more than 13 months.

I try to be optimistic, but I sure wish they could've at least given us a work permit while we wait. It can be rather agonizing at times. I'm predicting September will be the month.

yes true ive been waiting since June 2012 and i want to work and drive already

whats a u visa?

^It is a temporary visa for qualifying victims of criminal activity.It comes in the form of a work permit under the A-19 category for 4 years while allowing Adjustment of status on the 3rd year if it is through Family Unity,National interest or Humanitarian reasons.
