Tried that for a credit card and a secured credit card and I was denied instantly.

Not really...you already have some inquires and won't drop after 2 years
I have been using firstprogress.com and it reports every month to every credit agency. I checked my report already. This was the only card that accepted me after every company denied me. Now after 4 months, one of the companies that denied me accepted me due to my small history in good standing.

If you are "deceased" you should try fixing that before applying for any more credit.

Unless of course you are in fact dead. Or a zombie. Then you are out of luck. Resurrection is not really recognized at this time.

If you are not dead and you are using your social security number then contact them and see why they claim that you are deceased. It's possible someone misreported your social security number as belonging to a dead person. Could of been a simple mistype and it could of even happened before your SSN was issued.

Look into this, this sounds like a big issue. You can start here and see if there's any notes on your credit files noting that you are dead:
https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

Perhaps someone came up with a random SSN and used it for themselves in the past before they did verification on them. Maybe "you" already have credit cards. Get it fixed.

One of my friends starting building credit by buying things at store's like Conn's and Rooms To Go.
Then he applied for a CC at BoFA and got approved without any problems.

Thanks for the info, I thought that when I received the letter that stated that I was deceased, but didn't give it much of a thought, but now I will since my application for firstprogress.com was declined today. Thanks again.

If you mean buying expensive products in cash then I should try that. I've been buying at best buy and paying in cash even have a rewards card.

Now I can't even get that credit report, just tried a couple of times and nothing.
