My appointment is scheduled for June 20th,

If I do a walk-in, will it speed of the process?

Can a walk-in end up in a rejection of my application?

Can the consular I'D be presented as proof of identification at the time of the appointmentt?

Newbie here...your answers will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

In my case a walk in helped with a quicker approval, but it has not
Always been the case.

If you get denied a walk in just be sure to go on your appointment date.

Yes they accept matriculas for ID, mine was expired and it didn't affect it either.

1. At this point where application don't seem to follow any order to approvals, there is no answer. It might, it might not.

2. No, walk-in will not result in rejection.

3. Consular ID should work. I would recommend a passport.

Thank you for the replies.

I have two passports. One has the visa...it expired in 2005 and has a pic of me when I was 7yrs and the other passport is the last one I had when I was 12. I'm now 25 will these work along with the consular ID?

By the way, those of you who have done walk-ins, what do you say when you go in?

You can tell them you have school, a doctors appointment or no ride or something like that. A walkin won't really make much of a difference unless you are lucky.

-The process handling way isn't known, so getting your biometrics done earlier might have no effect whatsoever.
-Matricula is OK, I took my passport (you should get one if you can).

I would recommend for you to go and try to do the walk-in, worst case scenario they say no. I say this because when I went to get my biometrics done there were only three more people waiting (out of like 100 or so seats), so I'm sure if I had gone earlier I could've been done with it already.
