He vetoed a law which would do absolutely nothing if it passed. You can obtain a state ID or driver's license in Florida with a work permit and that's that.

No problem, no need to freak out people. Let this be a lesson to you guys: Don't believe everything that the media tells you, do your own research, look at multiple sources, understand how a bill works, and look at the evidence.

There is a lot of things going on and they (politicians, corporations and media) mask it as something else. WAKE UP, OPEN YOUR EYES!

One Love!

As far as I know, you get the work permit around the same time as this notice or shortly after. Here's the catch, YOU CAN STILL GET A DRIVERS LICENSE!!! this was not a bill take your driving privileges away and signed into law, it was a bill to make the process quicker for those who get approved and passed Florida's house and senate almost by an unanimous decision, but was vetoed by Gov. Rick Scott.

What we need to do now is, take power into our own hands, and educate the public for the 2014 elections coming up. Will we let Rick Scott run for a second term? He actually won 50% of the Hispanic vote, I'm sure we alone can make him lose next elections.

Don't worry, we will prevail. One love.
If this was the sole purpose of that bill, what a stupid bill! You get your EAD about a week or 2 after your approval. What's a week or 2 really going to do? AGAIN, WHY STIR CALM WATERS!!?? If you already know Rick Scott and other dumbasses wanted to pass Arizona style laws here, why present this to him? This could have only had the outcome it has had.

I hope you are right. I really, really do.

A bill exactly like this was passed here in California. If someone is denied for their EAD, they can still obtain an ID and DL with their DACA approval.

Of course, the vast majority of applicants have been approved for both DACA and the EAD.

I thought there was no such thing as DACA without EAD or vice versa? One comes with the other.

I think they cant just refuse the work permits that are marked "C33" which are the ones for deferred actions. There are different kinds of work permits...

So please, don't forget about this around the time people start talking about next years election, this is VITAL. We need to vote according to what the people need, not random ignorant people with their own agendas.
