BTW, I do have about 6 years of retail experience (but that was pre DACA days), which is why I believe I was able to score some of these interviews. |

For the most part, retail has given me valuable people skills and others that I know will be useful to me when I begin my career (which doesn't not involve retail). For any job, retail or not, ones attitude plays an important role in whether he or she will find fulfillment or success. It has worked for me and many others as well

The beautiful thing about web development is that it is easy to show what you can do and your level of experience by simply pointing to web sites you have built for money or for fun either way you're building a portfolio.
