Hi. I'm fairly new here. I've been following the threads but have been silent. I'm in a panic mode right now and need help. I live in the U.S Virgin Islands where we don't get as much opportunity to do stuff like in the states. After waiting from December for a response I received a letter stating I had missing information. In 2009 I left to obtain a student visa to be able to attend college because unfortunately I can't unless I have a SS # or a visa. I was unable to begin because I didnt have enough money. So my dad saved up and I was able to attend the following semester. It costs about 7,000 per semester here. Wayy too much since I wasnt working. The summer before I started I tried to go visit my aunt in Tampa but was told I had to leave because I was out of status. So I left voluntarily and returned 2 weeks later with updated papers from the University. I sent in as much info as I could but they are now telling me i need proof of 2010 and 2011. I have travel records that I can show for 2010 plus my receipts from the university. In 2011 I was unable to do another semester therefore I was out of status again. I got a job around February of that year and has been working since. My problem is, I dont think i have anything showing I was here in 2011 even though I worked all year. My boss has been really nice and she said she would help me in whatever way she can. I know the best thing is to receive a letter from her stating I was working all that time but I fear that she will get in trouble and shes been too sweet to me. Also, I have no proof of June 15, 2012. I sent in a letter from my youth leader but they said it was insufficient. Again, my boss can vouch for me because I worked that day. I remember because it was 2 days before my birthday. Again, I dont want her to get into trouble or have to pay back taxes or get fined. PLEASE HELP! Has any employer vouched for any one of you and did they get into trouble????!

your boss should write you that affidavit without any fear. USCIS job is just to see proof and that u meet all their requirements. theyre not gonna rat ur boss out lol. just tell her its safe and nothing will happen. also show proof of travel records (within the country of course) and ur college receipt. virgin island is part of US. i dont think they can hold that against u
