I'm going to New York for 3 days and I'll be driving. I'm just so happy that I can just drive to wherever I want with my new Diver license. The sense of freedom is greatly appreciated. I'm a little bit nervous about driving in New York city(hopefully I don't run anyone over), but other than that, I'm really excited. The drive is going to be 12 hours long.

So do you guys plan any road trip for the summer? If so, where are you going?

Road trips are awesome. I want to go on a road trip to Canada for sure in the near future.

This summer I decided to visit my country of birth after about two decades. Mexico here we come. Time to go see this foreign land they said I should self deport myself to. I need to make sure I didn't make a mistake by not self deporting.

Enjoy it. I regret not taking longer road trips when my DL situation was better.

Be careful. Especially if you are visiting or passing through the northern mexican states.

That's what I've been waiting to do...hoping I get approved. I live in Texas so there are numerous natural destinations (parks) that I want to visit. Hope you have fun on your trip and don't forget to take photographs and share them here!

as a new york dont drive in the city...you will waste your time and gas. Traffic is horrible. You should park your car somewhere like a parking lot and take the train to places btw parking in the city is expensive they have half-hour deals for like $15-20 and for daily is more than that.

Also if you use Central Parking in NYC, there is a coupon website to get that $15-$20 deal for like 6-12 hours or so.

The trip was great! I ate so much for the past few day. The food in Chinatown is amazing. New York is a beautiful place with a lot of diversity. However, driving in New York city was absolutely horrifying. All the cars are just so close to each other and the people only take traffic light as a suggestion, they just cross whenever they want. The parking situation was a nightmare, one night it took me 45 minutes to find parking space. Overall this driving trip was fun and I plan on doing more of it Having a driver license is the most beautiful thing in the world.
