I was on hold for about 15 mins then after she answered I gave her my reference # and she asked a few questions... DOB, mothers maiden name, Place of birth etc. Then she told me how it was on hold and that she would clear it for me... she did that in less than 5 mins. Then I received the card in 5 days. I had been waiting for almost 2 weeks when I called.

My buddy applied for his on 1/18 but didn't receive his until late February because they had to check with DHS. Called the SSA and was told my card was finally processed and should have within days. The 4 week wait was driving me crazy. She offered to give me the number over the phone but in IL you need the actual card to get an ID/DL so it does me no good.
