10 months club

Needless to say, it has been a very long 10 months. I am truly very grateful for DACA because I had no kind of hope until it was enacted, but 10 months?! Really? Yes I have a previous case that was closed years ago. Does it really take 10 months to review it? My brother had the same timeline and was approved in October. People that applied way after me and a few other August/September applicants, have been approved so what about us? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy people are being approved. I just feel cheated of months where I could've accepted job offers and driven my own car.

not everyone from august/september have been approved. i applied back in september and in 5 days i'll hit the 9 month mark.

it is hard to be upbeat about everything especially when you see other getting approved and it's also hard not to get mad at the whole process. but just remember that it takes more energy to be mad then it does just to be indifferent about things.

like everyone else, your day will come and when it does, you will be as happy as everyone else. keep yourself as busy as possible and know that we live in an imperfect world and it is about how you handle the low points in life that will get you through those low points allowing you to reach the high points that God has in store for you.

also, if you havent yet, call USCIS and ask to talk to a case worker about your case and ask about the status of your case. also you can put in a service request online if you havent done so yet.

Thanks. Yeah I've been keeping busy for the most part. It's just random days (like once a week) that it bothers me like today when I realized I actually hit 10 months. I have to sit here a keep reminding myself God has a bigger plan and even though I can't even fathom to think of what it is I have to have faith and trust in it.

Btw, I didn't mean everyone from August/September have been approved. I was saying there are a few just like me still waiting.

Also, I've actually put in multiple service requests and all if them pretty much say to just wait. I have one pending now so we'll see what they say this time when they respond.
