Have any of you guys who have been waiting past your time frame tried contacting your congressman/women?

Read elsewhere where a few people did that and then suddenly got approved the following week or two after they've been waiting 6-7+ months. Not sure if it was a coincidence or if that actually helped.

Any feedback on this?

I received an email on Tuesday informing me I had been approved
Bellow is my time line.

-Received at Nebraska Center: 3/29/13
-Notice of action received: 04/02/13
-Received biometrics letter: 04/15/13
-Biometrics done: Walk in 04/17/13
-Approved: 06/18/13

The entire process was just under 3 months. After I had the biometrics done I was checking my status once a week. Since I had read that a lot of people have been waiting for 6+ months I stopped checking 3 weeks ago. I knew I met all the requirements, so I decided to just check once a month from now on. When I woke up Tuesday morning and read the email I couldn't believe it. It took me a good 5 minutes to text my husband the great news and to realized that YES, I had been approved

Did you have an old case with uscis because I think that's what's holding me up.

Nope. No previous case. I got a letter in the mail said I'm pending security checks and there waiting for those to clear so they can make a decision on my case. But for now my case is on "Processing Hold"
