I want to travel to San Diego but I'm afraid of being randomly stopped by immigration as they are known for doing. I've already been accepted and have SS as well as California state ID. I want to know what I need to bring with me when I travel and if I'm ever stopped what do I say?

Why the hell are you scare? Your ID is enough but your DACA letter should be good just as back up.

I wouldn't even bring the daca letter. You want to keep that safe.

Your California ID should be enough. But just in case I would bring my EAD with me and leave the approval letter at home. Last week I went on a road trip that got me really close to the Canadian border and I brought the EAD with me just in case I got pulled over.

If you know you're going to be crossing an immigration checkpoint, carry your EAD and a copy of your I-821D letter in the car, as simple as that.

They will ask you if you're a U.S. citizen, you say no. Hand them your EAD and if they ask what your status is, just say Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, if they ask further questions, give them the copy of your I-821D approval letter.

lol really? i was traveling before DACA with a brazilian passport only and never had any problems. DL and SS in hand should be more than enough. Immigration doesnt do check ups like that at an airport, its counter-productive.
