Nothing is final yet. Nothing has been passed. Everyone here is complaining that we have to go back to our home country to apply for residency, BUT NOWWHERE DOES IT SAY THAT. Also, even if we do have to go back, BE GRATEFUL that they are even considering giving us a green card after only 3 years. I dont understand how all of you just look at the negative aspects, instead of the positive. I know that some of you cant really go back to your own country, but where there is a will theres a way, and most likely you wont have to go back.

you really have a serious problem with reading. you need to get a tutor for that before using capital letters and TRYING TO CORRECT PEOPLE WHEN YOU ARE THE ONE WHO GOT IT WRONG ITS REALLY HILARIOUS. again, let me break it down for you. this is one of several resources out there outlining the requirements under z-visa category:

In order to change z-visa status to LPR:
LPR Status: A Z-1 nonimmigrant may adjust status to lawful permanent residence after the family backlog under Title V is eliminated if the Z applicant:
o Satisfies the merit requirements in the points schedule set forth in Title V.
o files the application for adjustment in the Z-1’s country of origin and
o pays a penalty of $4,000.

I agree that we all need to stop complaining and start seeing things on the bright side.
