I contacted my Congresswoman's office for assistance with my case, since it's beyond the normal processing time of 6 months. Her assistant sent the inquiry the following day. Surprise, surprise! USCIS didn't update my case since December 2012, BUT exactly 24 hours after the congressional inquiry, USCIS transferred my case to a local office. Coincidence? I think not.

Bottom line: I think that contacting your congressperson for assistance is beneficial, IF you're beyond the normal processing time. Even if he/she is a Republican who is against DACA, ask for help.

Can you give me a step by step on doing this? I will hit 10 months this week which sucks and is really ridiculous. I don't even bother sending in e-request anymore or calling them since they always feed me the same BS every time. Its not fair

I'm seriously thinking about contacting my congressman.. He's a republican but whatever, it won't hurt to try I guess.

Honestly, August applicants and September applicants, I wish I could do something for you. I was an October 1 applicant and I pretty angry that I had to wait until mid-May. The best I can do is give you an electronic hug and say that it definitely isn't fair that mid-August applicants are getting accepted before you.
