could you guys clarify the "selective services" thing? Is that what you have to fill out that way they know they can draft you? lol. If not, then i've never heard of this. What am i supposed to do? (I turn 18 in a couple of months)

... and... it looks like we'd have to go back to our home country, right? that really, really, really sucks. ughh....

and for the person who's over 30, wouldn't you qualify for something else under this bill? I think the only difference is that you'd have to pay the $5000. But i'm assuming you could still be legalized.

One of the requierements of DREAM is:
Quote:
...an alien who is determined to be eligible for or has been issued a probationary Z or Z nonimmigrant visa
but to get a Z visa:

Quote:
(i) is physically present in the United States, has 18
maintained continuous physical presence in the United 19
States since January 1, 2007, is employed, and seeks to 20
continue performing labor, services or education;
does this mean we have to be employed?

I wasn't referring to that group. I was referring to DREAM candidates, at least like myself who am a full time student.

Iamtired,We will be applying under the guidelines of the Dream act clause not the general legalization program.This is why it will take six months to work out the kinks in the legislation & basically allow the final Regulations to be implemented on HOW we can apply & what will apply to us.

Well,what we've been waiting for is hear.The Senate will convene today at 1:00 p.m EST but Sessions will most likely be talking his head off first.

You can watch the entire debate here.
