I know things are very tough living as an Undocumented person in the US, but he shouldn't get any Unemployment checks, it's FRAUD plain and simple.

I feel sorry for your friend. But everytime somebody breaks the law they must accept the consequences of getting caught...

To answer your original question, he should just let it go and live as a fugitive aswell as an immigrant. Or maybe try his luck in his native country because he will always be seen as a criminal and it will be really difficult to get any job or immigration benefit in future. Otherwise he can try to get aother job 'under the table ' or rise up from homelessness hustling. Tough situation.

Was he working with his real name? Filing taxes and all that good shit?

just don'y show up to the appointment...nothing else is going to happen. They don't care if you lie to them as long as you don't steal from them, your friend didn't receive and money yet so just let it go. They won't look for him LOL it costs the gov too much money to arrest every liar out there...i know from stories I' ve heard much worse.

Do you know if he said he was a U.S. citizen or if he just claimed he was some kind of legal resident? Falsely claiming U.S. citizenship would bar him from any immigration relief under current law (I don't think so on CIR, but you never know...). Falsely claiming legal residence is not a direct bar under federal immigration law, now or ever. It is, however, a legal problem nonetheless (depending on whether he applied for state or federal benefits), which can then turn into problems for immigration stuff.

Long story short? Lawyer lawyer lawyer...

Quick note: If he hasn't actually received anything, he could try to write it off as a misunderstanding. But again, lawyer lawyer lawyer because these laws aren't easy--and the state/feds wield a ton of discretionary power.

Why would i wish someone's mom to get raped? This guy totally deserves to be deported because he faked the information to try to steal money from US tax payers.

Person like this guy is the reason why the CIR is getting delayed. He is giving all other illegal immigrants a bad image.

I mean its not like he wasn't filing taxes and paying taxes or anything like that.
