I know this traveling question has been asked and I am sorry if I ask the same thing, but I really want to ease my mind. I'm very nervous about traveling from Phoenix, Arizona to San Diego, California. I have been approved for the deferred action and I have my work Authorization card, but no State I.D. like everyone know Jane Brewer didn't let dreamers get any form of State I.D. I only have my work permit as an I.D. and my Mexican passport that I got from the Mexican consulate in Arizona. I would really appreciate the help. I live in a very touchy state and I've been terrorized all my life with immigration stories and not to mention the discrimination. There is always that inner fear that eats you up and its kinda hard to shake it off.

In advance thank you for taking the time

Pack your bag, take your passport and EAD and off you go. I'm 157% sure that you will not encounter any problem during your travel. Enjoy your trip!

You'll be fine, if you get stopped by BP just flash the EAD

Your EAD should be enough to show to BP if you encounter them. It might also be a good idea to carry a copy of your I-821D approval letter incase they question you about your status, or lack of.

I traveled by car from NM all the way to San Diego back in Jan. I crossed two checkpoints. At both checkpoints they asked me if I was a USC I said no. And they looked at my EAD and let me through. No questions asked.

taking a flight is the best option man , ive droven out to el centro which is pretty much the same route as if you were heading to sd , them bp are a holes , i have a dl , but it wasnt good enough for them , they had me park , and took me in to their station until i had to get a hold of my lawyer , i shouldve carried my bond papers , but didnt think it was necessary , so definitely make a copy of your daca approval , just to be on the safe side
