I was curious how many of you, if any, sign your name on the application when you help someone else with their forms? I have noticed that now in the newer version they added a specific question asking if anyone else helped fill out even a portion of the application. Does anyone believe there would be any problem if anyone like us (DACA recipients) have signed another person's forms as a preparer? And why do you believe they require this information?

I don't think it should be a problem

I wonder why they need that information.

Maybe in case there is fraud in the application they know who to go after.

Nope, as long as you don't type or write anything. I just guide the person not help.

I volunteer in citizenship forums and we've been told to sign the application but of course the organization in charge of us stamps it as well.

They require that information so they know who to talk to in case there is a mistake and it probably has some liability issues too if the application is full of lies and the person who filed it denies it.
