Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and I have a huge question! I applied for DACA on April 30th and I just received an e-mail fromUSCIS stating the following:

On July 31, 2013, your name was updated relating to your I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION.

Has anyone else received this message? if you have can you let me know what it meant, good or bad?
Thanks again!

Perhaps there was a mispelling of your name on the application, or an error from one of the workers. Some people have received a decision shortly after receiving this status update.

May it have been the fact that only one of my last names was entered in the application? I was looking over my papers right now and realized that only one was used

Yes. Your name has to be written the same way as it appears on your Birth Certificate or Passport, so if you left out one of your last names, they will add it to your application and therefore trigger a name change update.

If you don't mind, can you tell me if you are Hispanic? There are quite a few people who have receive the same message and under some brief observation, I seem to find that almost all of the people who receive this message are Hispanic. Maybe be it is because Hispanic have a different last name system that cause some people to get this message.

Yes I am Hispanic. I received the message because when I filled out my application, I forgot to put my second last name as it was on my birth certificate.
