Hi Guys,

I was searching the threads on here but couldn't find an answer.

I am applying for the fall semester at a California Community College and my question is the following;

I have to apply through the site cccapply.org and I don't know what option to choose for the citizenship status question.

Any CA community college students that can enlighten me?

Thanks!

If i were you i would just get the BOG waiver at the Community college because the Cal grant deadline passed already. With the Waiver you can get all your classes paid for. Then just buy the books online instead of the student store and you would only waste ~200.

think you have to do it in person because you need to be classified as a AB540 student in order to pay in-state tuition if you qualify as a AB 540 student

i would do all of this ASAP because most if not all of the CA CC will be starting soon (either this month or next).

if you're a new student (never taken college classes before) then there is a whole list of things you need to do. testing and orientation and signing up for classes.

^^^ is correct. I had to go in person to the residence desk at Golden West College to show proof of residency in order to get classified as AB540. It's very easy.

They are independent processes. You can apply for BOG at any time. CA Dream Act has a March priority filing date.
