I was granted advance parole, The documents states that the parole starts the 16th of August. You guys think there will be a problem if I leave before the 16th the faster I leave the faster I come back. Im traveling to Mexico.

Does any one know if when you arrive to Mexico do they stamp your passport or do you even need your passport to enter mexico?

thanks for the input.

If the Advance Parole document has a date of when it becomes valid, why would you leave before that date. That would mean that you departed without Advance Parole and would be possibly banned from the United States. Just wait until the 16th.

Just as if you were entering any other country, you will need travel documents to enter it. If you are a citizen, you will need to show documents to prove your citizenship (passport or ID or Birth Certificate, etc.). If you are not a citizen, then you'll need the passport and a visa.

Customs of other countries usually do not stamp the passport of returning citizens (except for nations like Cuba that requires its citizens to obtain exit visas)

Bon Voyage!

In my only experience with crossing into Mexico I didn't have to present any documents but you're supposedly required to have a passport. They don't stamp it if you're presenting a Mexican or a passport from the USA since you can travel into Mexico without a visa.

You technically wouldn't have permission to leave until the 16th of August so you can run into problems if they have any record of you leaving earlier although they wouldn't. It's really your choice whether you want to gamble or not.

Thanks for the answers guys. The reason why I was asking if there could be a problem if I leave early is because things have turn bad for my grandpa. He is really ill they just called me from Mex asking if I had received permission to travel. They are telling me that he might be passing away already. But i guess I wont be going no where till the 16th. Hope I can see him one more time alive instead of at his funeral.

@ iah i have exactly one month to return. I will keep you guys posted on the rest....

Sorry to hear that. I also thought about leaving before the date specified on my AP but my lawyer talked me out of it. I waited until the day of before I left the country and I honestly don't think I would have had any problems as there was no evidence of the date that I left but I did not want to risk it. Hope your grandpa pulls through!
