So USCIS received my application January 22. I went for biometrics a month after and have been waiting since. My application was transfered in may from Vermont office to Texas. Since i saw my process time was way past the average processing time. I place a E-Request through USCIS website and today I received an email from USCIS telling me the following:

The status of this service request is:

We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you
.

Anyone else has experience this?? And what have you been your processing times after you received this letter?

I got the same response in JUNE but this month they sent me a letter in the mail telling me now I'm "pending adjudication" so I'm guessing they finished the background checks and took me off the processing hold and now I'm just waiting for a adjudicator officer to make the final decision on my case. Look at my timeline I've been waiting and I'm still waiting.

Wow, can't believe it's about to be a year since you submitted your application and you're still pending.

They told me the same thing in one if my service requests...but then in the next one they said:

We have received your inquiry stating that your Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (Form I-821D) is beyond the expected six month processing period. USCIS is making every effort to process these cases within the stated timeframes and hope to move your case in the near future. However, at this time we cannot provide a specific date on which a final decision will be made on your request for deferred action.
We hope this information is helpful to you.

I think it's all just BS answers to appease us until they decide to actually look at our cases

That's exactly what they are. Service Requests don't do or solve anything unless there is an actual error with your case, not above expected processing time.

but who knows whats really going on. Lets just hope this month is our month to finally hear something back from NSC. We have close to similar timelines We both did our biometric appointments the same day and both our cases are pending at NSC.
