Has anyone ever heard of premium processing for DACA cases? I was sent a transfer notice and it said my case has been transferred to a local field office (Los Angeles). I thought local field offices don't have jurisdiction over DACA cases? They gave me a "Premium Processing phone number" to call and said something about a 15-day premium processing clock. What does that mean?

Sounds like spam. Where exactly did this notice come from? Never trust anything that comes to you unless it doesn't show up when you search your case number on the USCIS site.

It is definitely a formal letter from the USCIS. Has my receipt number and everything. My case has been pending for more than 6 months, so I contacted my congressman a few weeks ago. So I'm thinking it might have something to do with that. Maybe he was able to push for them do something internally to speed things along. At least that's what I'm hoping.

there's no such thing as premium processing for anything in USCIS. you're not joining a club or anything like that

Sometimes they transfer over cases from the National Centers to the local offices. They have the adjudicative powers to investigate cases.

But there is no such thing as "premium processing", but perhaps it may have been transferred to the local office upon request from the Congressperson.

This page has more info on premium processing:
http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/usc...0045f3d6a1RCRD

It's not for DACA though.

yeah I reread the notice and it seems like the information on premium processing was a generic message for IF I had submitted a special form, which I obviously haven't
