I had to rescind my ITIN and replace it with the SSN number. I used my ITIN for previous W2 and tax purposes (I remember filing and paying $200+ during April) and I was wondering if there's a way to look at the "credit" history of my ITIN.

It sounds like tedious work trying to bring ITIN records to my SSN, I wouldn't like to bother but I've used my ITIN on numerous filing involving tax and more. So is there a way to view histories from both ITIN or SSN, sort of like a record?

i don't think creditkarma will take a ITIN simply because of its format. But it wouldn't hurt to try.

They don't use your SSN or ITIN as a unique identifier for your credit file. It's supplementary. I had credit without any SSN or ITIN at first.

You can also find people on the internet who have different SSNs but similar names and their credit files get merged. These same credit bureaus exist in other countries (that don't allow personal numbers to be used in such ways) and as such have multiple ways of tracking you.

Exhibit A

Exhibit B
Exhibit C

And so on... They make it seem as though a SSN is required. But in truth it's not.

So your ITIN/SSN credit file should be the same if the other information matches. Bringing your "ITIN credit file to SSN" should be no work at all. Providing other information matches soon as you apply for a new card or update an existing one with your new social it will be done. The new/updated card will be on your existing credit file.
