On the DACA application put your FULL legal name. You put your first, your middle if you have one, and your full father and mother last name. They will understand that in the USA people only use the father usually and thus you have your paperwork with only one surname.

I did a topic on what constitutes your legal name and what is the proper method for taking out identifications later on after you have been accepted to have your name appear as you like it(under legal means). About every month I see this question pop up so here is the thread for future reference: http://dreamact.info/forum/showthread.php?t=35744

I've been out of the country this summer and through various border patrol checkpoints. I've had my background checked for jobs and much more as well. Zero issues through all that so I can say with confidence from experience that the info I provided in that thread is true(if you want your name shorten), although I had already cited sources for it.

then i guess they must've messed up on my application adding both last names
