Generally when I get a contract to hire they always want to hire me. I never dealt with a temp agency, I always dealt with the client directly, and you have more opportunities to grow , and more pay likely, and talk to the owner of the circus not with the clown.

Thanks! Just finished my first month! Learning every day, and enjoying the work. Still feels surreal at times. It really hit me this week how my life has changed since DACA.

i got my current job through accountemps. .they said they like my work and want to hire me straight on through the company but we got some money issues they want to get through first. .they laid off 2 people last month so they dont feel its a good idea right now to ask the bosses to hire me straight through the company. .but i guess whatever they pay the agency right now is a separate expense thats why they didnt get rid of me haha

boss lady wanted to hire me as soon as the required hours were completed but a little after is when they started having whatever problems and she just told me to wait a few months until everything passes. .business is already looking better. .

You might want to research what your potential employer is after, and apply yourself to it 100% until you can meet or even exceed these expectations. Usually an employer who is serious about getting the right people won't settle for people that don't meet the expectations unless it is some what of a flexible position, so you got to research specifics, and get good at it.

And don't make your broken iphone 4 an excuse. If I get a call from a potential employer, they would usually leave a message or send you an email. Look my phone is not even connected with service either, so what I do, I get their message (I have google voice), and although without phone service I am not able to call them back, I ask to borrow someone's else, anybody lets you use their phone for a phone call. I went to the barbershop to get a haircut and I asked them to let me borrow their phone for a quick phone call, and then I was able to return a call that way to a recruiter to set up a meeting, then I got another call from another job offer and I borrowed someone's phone to call them back. So I have an standing offer for Monday, which
I think I am gonna turn down r (which offers me 30$/h) and I am leaning to go with the recruiter because he has some pretty good offers of the kind of job that I am really looking for. He is from Robert Half. See if you don't' limit yourself and apply yourself, not only you can job offers, you can even choose. Although there is no guarantee I'll get hire with the company the recruiting is connecting me to, I feel pretty confident I meet their expectations if not exceed them, and I am pretty happy about that opportunity actually looks pretty good, with a established well known company.

Another thing is, you say you have a 10 yr old bachelors degree. Well you might not find the top jobs if you haven't had any jobs doing what your degree is for- they look for experience not just for a degree. So you might want to look for jobs to build up your credibility, but that are on the same area where you are, even if they pay less, it would still build up your resume, if you can get a couple of these, then you would be setting yourself up to upgrade to a better paying company, and so on, then it will be 3, then after that you can probably get hired on the kind of company that you would really hope for.
