Looks like you're waiting. Whats 2 weeks right? You've already waited this long. Im sure 2 more weeks is nothing.

Error in the system? Are those 2 weeks in addition to 2 more weeks to wait for your Social security card to arrive?

I just went in today to apply, had no issues. The lady just said i'd get my card within 2 weeks.
I received my EAD yesterday and was approved last Thursday.

It's normal. The Social Security office uses the SAVE Program that verifies your legal ability to work with the Department of Homeland Security. It takes 10 days for DHS to update their systems on SAVE after they issue you the EAD card.

They told me the same thing. . I went in on a friday and thats what they told me. .then I went in on wednesday and they were able to give me a print out of the number already. I think the paper said that the number had been assigned that morning. .so i guess if you dont want to wait for the card. .give it about 3 or 4 days and go back in to the ss office and ask them if they'll give you a printout
