You're correct.I read that Canada's Immigration Minister allow the undocumented to be sponsored whether by Employer or a Permanent Resident/Canadian citizen family member if you meet all the requirements and you don't have to leave, kinda like 245i.

Ok first of all if you're not a permanent or US citizen you can't travel to canada without a visa. so if you're from any other country you need a visa to travel there ..you would have to go to their embasy and apply for a visa. secondly you need advance parole if you're planning on coming back to the US.

This has been on my mind, advance parole does not grant a VISA but a LAWFUL entry back. So are people really going to seek AP for traveling to a country not native to them?

or can someone explain

all that AP does is give you entrance back to the states... your status in the US doesnt change. Depending on what country you are from you need visas to enter other countries like canada so you will still need to have a visa to enter those countries even if you have advanced parole.

You bring up a very valid point concerning meeting the entry requirements for Canada. The OP may or may not require a visa dependent on if Canada has a valid visa waiver available for his country of citizenship as the current Canadian government is quite notable on removing current visa free privileges for certain nationals if they believe it is being taken advantage of.There is a list on Canada's immigration website on if you require a visa or not OP.

First you need to apply for Advance Parole. It costs $360. You can't use your state ID or a license to travel internationally, that is a stupid question, no offense. You need to apply for AP, explain why you want to go, for how long and when, be APPROVED for it, which takes a little bit of time, I heard between it could be between 1-3 months, they give you a date which you can travel and come back, and when you come back you should present documents from your grandma's surgery.
