So I have a misdiminor, I wanted to know how drastically will it slow my application down. I sent in the court disposition with my application. And when they do background checks with future employers will they be able to look that up.

What was your misdemeanor for? (Yes, it depends on what it is)

The theory is that if you have a criminal record (in your case a misdemeanor) it will take longer because they're doing more background checks, so you might have to wait longer. As long as you sent everything, you should be fine...regarding your employers, it shouldn't be a problem unless you're required to do something that requires clearance or whatever. Even though they shouldn't discriminate based on your arrest, they might do and there's nothing you can do. Just be honest about it.

My misdiminor is for retail theft. I didn't get arrest for it just had to show up to court, do community service hours and that was the end of that.

This should not affect your case too much. But it can slow it down as they are going to take a closer look probably at your record since you have done something in the past.

I don't know about DACA, but your job prospects are severely limited unless someone takes pity on you and it's a job where you're not around anything of value. For any job that requires you to be around merchandise or dealing with customers' homes, it's a no-brainer on the part of the employers not to hire.

I have pretty high hopes, this happened 4 years ago, they always let you explain the situation.

I work with cash and I will never ever dare take a penny that doesn't belong to me...

neither will I work as a server and handle cash at work. The retail theft happened when I was younger I left my friend put cloths in my back pack and instead of saying no I payed the consequences.
