You are supposed to only owe less than 25% on any credit line anything past that affects your points.

Going back to my scenario if you are splitting cost the whole time and the first time you find out someone has defaulted on credit cards in the past is the time that you are trying to rent an apartment together than I don't think there is anything wrong with having the conversation earlier than that. Because you can figure out how to fix it if you want to stick around. Like if the person defaulted on 3 credit cards in the past then you can be pro active and fix it. Call credit agencies to get it cleared etc... I mean maybe they had medical bills to pay or they had to rely on credit to pay for school or something right. However, I feel like you guys think is wrong to have that type of conversation at all because its "gold digging" or "superficial"

Oh no not at all, I agree with you there. My whole msg was saying you should have a conversation about finances by all means. But to dismiss a guy just because of his credit score and not even give him a chance is putting too much weight on something that is entirely superficial. He could be the one but you would've just dismissed him because of his score.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Just being called a gold digger over here because apparently caring about someone's credit score is bad.

I've gotten two lines of credit and early next year I'm getting a car loan...if that helps.
