Well you can see how it gets transferred around to different groups if there are security "hits" or possible inadmissibility issues. Also, sometimes a supervisor has to look at it and if it's an area where they don't have guidance on what to do, they sometimes have to wait. Sometimes someone with a similar name to you has security issues and they have to clear to make sure it's not you, etc. They've been pretty good about fast approvals though. We've only had one straight-forward case take more than 6 months and that was an exception to the rule.

I can't see how they justify all that time when people have gotten approved 7x times faster. All I've been thinking is all the things that I can do now get a way better job and use my degree, or start new somewhere else in the country. I have to start with what I have to do though, like: social, license, credit card... anything I'm missing? |
I'm happy for you!! I can't believe I'm still waiting as well. I have no Immigration history and no criminal history and I'm still waiting..........I'm at 14 months and 3 days

I'm pretty sure that every case that's in the 6+ month club is with the BCU DACA team. From the pdf that I read, if the bcu team gets the case from the get go they keep it till its adjudicated. That's why the cases get held up under extended review. Sucks big time!
