You're allowed to renew when you reach 180 days before your EAD's expiration date. So if your DACA expires on Jan 11th 2015, then you can send your renewal application on July 15th 2014.

listen here mr 2 year driver licencee. We don't know how the renewal process is going to be yet.

Renewing Deferred Action Under This Process
Individuals whose case is deferred under this process will not be placed into removal proceedings or removed from the United States for a period of two years, unless terminated. You may request consideration for a two-year extension of deferred action through a process to be detailed in the future. As long as you were under the age of 31 on June 15, 2012, you may request a renewal even after turning 31. Your request for an extension will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

how about some readin' ?

^ this.

Plus, the issue isn't renewing the EAD. It's renewing your deferred action, which is the reason why you're able to have work authorization. Until there is an update on how to renew deferred action, you cannot do anything in terms of renewing your EAD.

Was your permit for a year only? You would need to fix that if that were the case.

You will need to make an INFOPASS Appointment at your local USCIS office, which you can do on the USCIS website.
