I've worked in both (roofing for construction), and rework (quality assurance) in packing. Construction was tougher because of the environment. I worked during that summer 2012 heatwave. Packaging definitely wins for most heavily lifting (in my department at least). Neither are glamorous but construction had much better pay. Nearly double the wage.

Any who, right now I'm working as a work order organizer and prepper at a manufacturing and distribution co. (The very same where I started in QA)

Basically prepare all the work orders for the pickers and material handlers to give out to the packers, who must package, label, scan, and confirm all orders out for shipping.

It doesn't pay very well, not for the amount of work/responsibility involved. I basically set the pace for the pickers, who in turn set the pace for the packers. But it beats having to do the other jobs. I prepare all work orders for the entire department, which believe it or not actually fills a full 10-hr work day.

all for a whopping 7.75 and hr!!! lol

I started as an accounting clerk for this import, export & logistics company.
After a couple months I quickly moved to the A/P, A/R department as a controller.
I'm currently in the process of some very heavy training, as I am told of the posibility of a CFO position in the future.
That's my dream job! I'll do anything it takes to show that I qualify and deserve the position.

From zero to CFO in a few months? How many people work for the firm?

Hi guys, I'm back.

Basically for the last quite a few months, I worked at a fake Asset Management job that turned out to be a insurance selling (except that I had to sell financial investments instead of insurance) bs job.

I just quit yesterday. Graduating college in 1 month.

I got a lot of time left over for DAP now.

Good to be back.

We have 5 different offices, four in the US (Chicago, Miami, St. Louis, Kansas City) and one in Bogota Colombia.
I'd say overall about 90+ combined... There is a lot more in the Miami and Chicago offices as they run operations that require much more man power (storage, inspection, transport, processing) luckily, I work at the HQ with a much smaller group and in direct contact and supervision of both owners. I'm basically a shadow to both.
I wouldn't say I stated from "zero" I came into the industry with 9+ years of hands on management experience, two degrees (BS-Business Management, BS-Finance), fluent in multiple languages (like many dreamers), and a whole lot of drive.

Precisely. There isn't a set time table for the position.
