I for one don't expect a cir to happen until the next election and when the democrats control both the house and Senate. I guess too many factors affected the chances of a cir happening this year

I think the Republicans who don't back reform feed news to reporters that CIR is dead and then those same reporters go ask pro-reform Republicans and they say they're working on it or some sort of hopeful news.

If Speaker Boehner was a better Speaker and could actually control his caucus, we'd already know if there's a chance or not.

That is VERY unlikely to happen. Most election projections don't see democrats taking over the house in the next election. In fact, they might even lose a few seats here and there.

Not completely out of the question. Could very go in the Democrats favor if we have government shutdowns every 6 weeks.
