Can a mentally challenged person apply for DACA ?

I work with a therapist and one of her clients is mentally challenged. He was brought to the USA as a child and he meets all the requisites . We were wondering if his mental state would affect him.... Thanks in advance

Yes they could. My mom's friend's son is mentally challenged and was approved quick.

Yes, mental retardation does not exclude one from receiving DACA, however all other requirements most likely still apply.

The DACA application itself does not exclude the mentally challenged from applying and getting approved. As most have said, it's already been done. The challenge will come to play when he tries to get a job because he then would need a special accommodation. But that really has nothing to do with DACA.
