Okay so I was thinking about having a trip to South Padre island , and I wanted to know what kind of documentation I would need at the immigration checkpoint since it's still in texas ?
You need your EAD or DACA approval notice (or copy) in case you run into a checkpoint, do not carry it, just drop it into the glove compartment in your car. Same applies for traveling within 100 miles of the border, and you'll be nearly on the border.
