The worst has been "we hope to resolve your case in the near future".

My last name is pretty uncommon, so that should not be it. Also, if you're going to check people's records, it's both the name AND DOB.

I know, but any similar matches will flag a case. Hence the extended security checks. Among other things, of course.

I swear they only make us feel worse with their stupid lies. I've gotten that one too.

edit: It's on the, "Official daca process time thread" where I asked about a reapplication.

Even though I have never done a FBI or CIA or whatever criminal record search, I have done a lot with an Experia/Transunion type of website. There are many options for criminal records and there is one that gives you information regarding who might be 'associated' with you, either family, friends or neighbors (funny thing is that the report lists everybody's SSN and DOBs). When doing criminal searches almost all the time there is a DOB and also the jurisdiction regarding the case. So, if you are flagged for having an arrest in Illinois but you've never been to Illinois or lived there, and your DOBs don't match, then you move on. Some searches (a lot of them) also include a photograph. So yeah, saying that the 'security checks' are taking long is like saying that you're gonna take two hours to choose what you want in a fastfood restaurant when you have the menu in front of you.

I do not know what to do. Like I've said, I've talked to my representative, done ombudsman requests, four e-requests, even emailed the Nebraska SC, and nothing.

[email protected] Try emailing this person. I email her asking for help to get my case looked at b/c it was already pass the 6 month mark, and BANG I got a RFE the next day. Sometimes they are not even working in cases, you do and e-request and you get an automated response. It's would be worth a shot.

Thanks for your post, do you mind sharing where you got the e-mail ? I googled it and can't find much info on it.
