IMPORTANT NOTICE ON THE RECENT ADVISORY DACA RENEWALS:

There's been a lot on confusion on the recent USCIS announcement on DACA Renewals. Here's the real info:

The newly released DACA Renewal guidelines apply ONLY TO THOSE WHO WERE GRANTED Deferred Action THROUGH ICE BEFORE August 15, 2012 while in detention or removal proceedings!
The process for those who were granted DACA through USCIS AFTER August 15, 2012 (the regular application process) has not yet been released yet!

Most people do NOT need to re-apply now or take any action now, you should plan to re-apply 4 months before your DACA expires. We expect the official forms and procedures for nearly all people with DACA to be released sometime around the month of April, 2014.

Please sign up to the United We Dream DACA Renewal Network to get all the latest updates on DACA renewals http://unitedwedream.org/dacarenew/

Do not advise people to begin the renewal processes.

So what will the renewal fee be? $400, $500?

again, people are stupid and don't read directions.

Don’t lose your DACA – Register for the Renewal Network Today

what kind of warning is that?

Its like univision, sending panic vibes to the public. no body in their right mind will lose DACA.

but it will happen "so i was too busy with life and i lost the chance to renew daca, can i reapply"

But unlike univison, the DACA Renewal network is actually providing a service. It will send customized reminders to people based on their experiration data. So that people don't get too busy with life and lose that chance. There will only be a 1 month window to re-apply.

Like how do you forget your expiration date? I'd forget my birthday before I'd forget that mine expires on March 18th 2015...

Alot of things should be done this year, doesn't mean it will...

...nevertheless, I am also hopeful just like you, I am always hopeful...just don't depend on anything getting done this year.
