The prosecutorial discretion and case by case basis is mentioned again. I wonder how many who were approved the first time will get denied for the renewal. Kinda scary. Can you even reapply for a renewal if you get denied?

The odds are in your favor for renewal IMO.

I don't get it. So, we should provide an evidence that we are still in school? or we have a college degree? eh?

I don't get that part either. If anyone could clarify this it would be appreciated. Thank you

It depends on what you put in your first DACA application. For example, if you were enrolled in high school at that time, you have to show that you are still enrolled in high school or have already received your diploma. I don't think this really applies to people who were already college graduates. Just the ones that were enrolled in school or a GED program during the initial request for DACA. They have to prove that they are still attending or have completed.

......I can just see the renewal delay threads.
I think it as more to do that these individuals were the first to get approved, so thus work permits first to expire.

This notice contains renewal information only for those individuals granted DACA by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from June 15, 2012 until August 15, 2012
I am surprised there isn't a new form though. What's the point in having us fill all that out again? I'm hoping very soon we see the process for all other DACA individuals.

I think if this were the case that would mean applicants who were nominally approved around September-October would also be quickly approved for renewal. The service has had a prior history of prioritizing cases that maybe in removal proceedings.A good example would be FOIA requests.

It saves money to the service,so not surprised there. We don't really know the evidence requirements yet so we'll have to see how that goes. However, according to advocates the renewal regulations won't come until ~ April.

I'm planning on sending my renewal papers in May, my EAD expires in October and from seeing how long it took them last year to process my replacement EAD (4 months) I think sending in May will be enough time.
