I'm still scare to use the option even though I would love to visit my grandmother. I have a clean record expect for being in the country without permission from 14-27 years. What do you guys think? Are you also concern about exercising the AP option?

What helps is reading on those who used AP to travel. There are many many many stories of those who used AP on this website. I recommend reading up on their stories, they can even teach you something.

You need to learn how to 'play' with the system, read on people's stories and then decide.

I got approved for AP and I'm just waiting for the day I was approved to travel. I honestly think it's fairly safe to travel using AP just as long as you have a clean record and not a threat to the US. There's been many successful AP traveling stories on here. Just make sure you do your research.

I plan on going to Mexico as well through an Airport. My only fear is when I am about to board a plain in mexico, they wont understand AP and wont let me board the plane back home. Can you explain your experience?

Advance Parole should only be used for work, humanitarian or emergency purposes. Be careful with CBP since they have a horrible record of dealing with immigrants altogether.
