Official daca process time thread - Page 375

I was accepted today!!! First time posting here but I've been following this forum for more than a year and I
check it almost every day. In fact, this forum really helped me form my packet and fill out my applications better than the workshops I attended. I was very hesistant in applying for DACA because I had a run-in with the police when I was like 15 for petty theft and I thought that that was going to prevent me from getting it. I think the theories I've heard here about people with a tab marked "criminal history/past offenses" in their DACA packet are automatically put on a pile that gets the lowest priority when it comes to getting looked at, regardless of the degree of the offense. I also think that people in their late 20's or people that are married get it faster than others. Here's my timeline:

Nebraska Center
sent packet: 4/16/2013
received: 4/18/2013
biometric appointment: 5/22/2013 (no walk-in)
*sent 2 e-requests*
accepted: 2/26/2014

I hope you guys get approved soon and just keep your mind occupied. The fact that a few people have been waiting 1.5 years+ is mind boggling to me. Like, it does not compute AT ALL and i really sympathize with you guys. I genuinely thought that that was going to be me too in a few months. I have a question though. I got an e-mail for my I-765 about the card being in production but my I-821D just said that my name was being updated. Is this normal?

Texan! I always tried to find your posts so I could track your updates with mine because we had very similar timelines and I'm guessing around the same age with previous law troubles. I saw that you were on another thread about someone e-mailing Sheila Ruffin for help and although I did not get a response back I wonder if she had anything to do with my sudden approval.

I sent her an email a few days back (two weeks maybe? I don't remember) and she hasn't replied. However, my FOURTH e-request came back and said "pending adjudication", so that might be a good sign.

Pending adjudication is exactly what my last e-request said. So your turn might come soon!! I sent my e-request about a two-three weeks ago

Please, let's hope I get approved within the next couple of days.

Yayy! i got a letter in the mail today; they are working on it & its a different receipt number! so now i just wait for biometric appointment!

Did they go through your packet the first time they sent it back to you or did they send it back just as you sent it?


edit: so you got a letter and no text message??

yes; they went thru it and scanned it. it had some numbers and stuff printed on it on the right side of all the papers and stuff.

also they assigned me a different receipt number which is why when i checked it wouldn't say anything new. but no text alert. i did go online and created a user name with uscis and signed up for alerts there with the receipt number
